Dâmbovicioara, a tributary of the Dâmbovița River, springs from the southern slope of the “La Om” peak (2230 m) in the Piatra Craiului Mountains and flows north to south, shaping a breathtaking landscape.
Near the confluence with the Valea Muierii lies the “La Galgoaie” spring, where water gushes with force, forming a narrow, wild gorge with spectacular waterfalls and difficult access. Other impressive formations in the area include Cheile Brusturetului, Cheia Lungă, and Cheia Strâmtă.
Casa Sara, located just 1 km from Dâmbovicioara Cave, offers accommodation in a beautiful natural setting with superb mountain views. Guests can enjoy a fully equipped gazebo with a grill, cauldron, and stove with a hotplate, a spacious living room with an extendable sofa (also suitable for sleeping), and bright, airy rooms.
For children (and adults alike!), a small tourist train runs through the Dâmbovicioara and Brusturet Gorges – a relaxing and unique experience.
We also invite you to taste traditional dairy products from our very own sheepfold, “Pietricica”, including burduf cheese, fresh and smoked cheese, sweet whey cheese (urdă), and fresh milk – all lovingly prepared.
