"I chose to build this house because I fell in love with the area and was impressed by the wild nature of the western part of the Piatra Craiului Mountains. We are located 7 km away from DN73, on the left side, with the house facing the Peak of Pietricica and having direct access to the Dambovita River, which flows in front, offering an extraordinary view.
We take pride in being a "vacation home", wanting our guests to feel at home, not like in a hotel where they are greeted by a receptionist who hands them a key. For three years, Casa de Vacanță Piatra Craiului has been ranked first among guesthouses in the Rucăr-Dâmbovicioara-Podu Dâmboviței area, thanks to our efforts to offer delicious and hearty food, clean and traditional rooms, a rustic courtyard in harmony with nature, and the most advantageous price offers.
In addition to these, in order to constantly improve our services without changing the rates, we have built a sauna with a Finnish wood stove and chromotherapy, a salt cave with Praid and Himalayan salt – unique in the Rucăr-Bran area and equipped with chromotherapy, a wooden tub with an internal stove for heating the water, and a jacuzzi system for relaxation in winter.
Our yard covers an area of 3000 sqm, equipped with a playground for children, a rustic gazebo, a traditional outdoor kitchen with grill, stove, wood oven, barbecue, traditional smokehouse, football, tennis, basketball, volleyball courts, a skiing and sledding slope, climbing and adventure areas like Aventura Park.
Our guesthouse operates in an agrotourism system, promoting authentic tourism with food from our own farm and from the local mountain pastures, cooked on a stove and in the wood oven, smoked meat in our smokehouse, natural cheeses from sheep, goat and cow milk, pies and sweet breads baked in the wood oven, always served warm.
For parties, we have built a 100 sqm banquet hall with 30 seating places, equipped with a high-performance music system, karaoke, foosball table, table tennis, and darts.
Those who want to spend time in nature can enjoy 6 adult bikes and one for children, a free mountain hiking guide, sports field, playground for children, and trout fishing. In the winter season, we offer a 120 m slope ideal for skiing and sledding enthusiasts, horse-drawn sleds and horseback riding.
We have fast and free wireless internet with very good phone signal for Orange and Digi networks. Vodafone and Cosmote networks do not have coverage in the area, but we provide a mobile and a landline phone for this inconvenience.
Since we welcome children of all ages, including babies, we have prepared cribs for babies, two feeding chairs, a bottle sterilizer, a hand blender, and a baby bath tub for parents.
