The Carpenter's House, located just 800 meters from the center of Rucăr, is surrounded by forest and offers a wonderful view over the village. It was built through the effort of the carpenter and his family. The design of the house is focused on sustainability and embraces the simple beauty of nature. Its design incorporates old wood, some pieces being up to 100 years old, as well as wood with "imperfections" and different types of wood, creating a harmonious blend meant to bring the necessary tranquility. The spacious living room is equipped with three tables and 12 chairs made of solid walnut, fir, oak, and plum wood. It also includes a small library and a comfortable reading corner. Among the bedrooms, three have their own terrace. Three rooms have their own bathroom, and each floor is equipped with an additional bathroom. In the attic, one of the bedrooms features a "nest" intended for both children and adults, with three soft mattresses and a railing. The window offers an impressive view of the surrounding mountains.
