Poienița Ursului Guesthouse is located between Bucegi National Park and Piatra Craiului National Park, in the picturesque commune of Fundata, situated at an altitude of 1360 meters, making it the highest permanently inhabited settlement in Romania. The guesthouse benefits from a remarkable natural setting and offers you: 5 double rooms and 2 four-bed rooms, each with private bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi connection, dining room, fully equipped kitchen for guests' use, central heating, barbecue, and gazebo. Here, tourists will enjoy spectacular mountain landscapes, the cleanest air, welcoming people, unaltered traditions and customs, authentic architecture, healthy and delicious food. Additionally, you can engage in various recreational activities, including winter sports, hiking, mountain biking, and horse-drawn sleigh rides, among others. The guesthouse is located in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle, where music is allowed within reasonable limits. No noisy parties are permitted! Ierarh Nicolae', built between 1939-1943, the Monument of Lieutenant Colonel Ghe. Poenaru-Bordea, dedicated to the first Romanian army officer fallen in World War I. Near Fundata, you can explore numerous natural attractions such as Piatra Craiului National Park - Trails in Piatra Craiului, Zărnești Gorges, Moieciu Gorges, Grădiștea Gorges, natural reserves like La Chișătoare, Peștera and Dâmbovicioara Gorges, the bat cave in the village of Peștera, Pecineagu Dam, Vidraru Lake.
