Visiting the village of GURA TEGHII in Buzău County is an excellent choice for a multitude of reasons. First and foremost, the clean air is one of the defining features of this lively locality. GURA TEGHII has deep roots as an old border settlement, situated at the borders between Wallachia, Moldavia, and Transylvania. Historical documents mention the commune from the year 1771, but other sources suggest an even longer existence, dating back to the time of the ruler Vlad Vintilă (from Slatina - son of Radu the Great). The MONTANA guesthouse, inaugurated in 2009, offers 10 double rooms classified as three stars, each equipped with a private bathroom and LCD TV. Facilities also include a living room with home theater, kitchen access, central heating, covered terraces with illuminated outdoor umbrellas. Furthermore, the guesthouse features a dining and event hall for up to 70 people, a conference room in the attic for 30-40 seats equipped with a flipchart, screen, and video projector, as well as a mini football/tennis/basketball field with night lighting, a children's playground, gazebo, and plenty of green space. The atmosphere is enriched by the murmur of the Basca Mare River flowing just a few meters from the guesthouse. Guests can taste traditional and organic products, from the famous sheep cheese and plum brandy to rainbow trout and forest fruits. During the summer, visitors can sunbathe and swim in the clear water of the river or go fishing in the warm season. During the winter, they can enjoy the charm of the fairy tale season. The MONTANA guesthouse combines the intimacy and comfort of home, ideal for memorable vacations. In addition to all these, we organize campfires for a fee and special events such as anniversaries, birthdays, baptisms, and weddings, with a capacity of 70-80 seats! Tourist attractions in the area include Lake Hansaru, Lake Gotes, Lake Negru, Lake Mocearu, Penteleul Peak (1771m), the National Unity Monument on Mount Giurgiu, numerous mountain trails, rock settlements, and the Amber Museum at Colți-Aluniș, the Living Fire at Terca, the Siriu Dam, Casoca Waterfall, and many others.
