We invite you to discover the beauties of the area in Gorj County, where you can visit Polovragi Cave, a cave over a million years old, protected by the god Zamolxe, and Polovragi Monastery, built over 500 years ago, in a picturesque landscape at the foot of Piatra Polovragilor mountain, near the Oltet Gorge. In our commune, named after the rare plant called polovraga, used by healers as a remedy against diseases, archaeological excavations have revealed traces of a fortress and a cemetery from the time of the Dacians. The Polovragi Fair, held from July 14-20 every year, is one of the largest traditional fairs in the country, attracting visitors from Gorj, Valcea, and Transylvania. We warmly welcome you to explore all these attractions and many more, enjoying traditional products and the welcoming atmosphere that we offer. Our guesthouse is modern, offering 9 double rooms with private bathrooms and all the necessary facilities to ensure an unforgettable stay. Additionally, we provide a banquet hall where you can organize events for up to 150 people.
