Cabana Tismana Tismana Recommendation

The Tismana Cabin is located within the area managed by the Tismana Forestry District, in the town of Tismana, next to the Tismana River and near the Tismana Monastery. The forests managed by this forestry district stretch from the Tismana-Godeanu Depression area to the mid-altitude mountain region of the Vâlcan Mountains, part of the Retezat-Godeanu massif. Built between 1979-1980, the Tismana Cabin was renovated and modernized during 1989-2004. The cabin is integrated into the same building as the Tismana Forestry District headquarters. The forestry offices are located on the ground floor, while the cabin’s accommodation facilities are on the upper floor. It includes four rooms with two beds each, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a protocol room. The drinking water source is a spring with a constant flow throughout the year, located about 200 meters from the building.
