Accommodation Gheorgheni

Gheorgheni is a municipality located in the eastern part of Harghita County, in the Giurgeu Depression, a mountainous region surrounded by the Gurghiu, Hășmaș and Călimani Mountains. The town lies about 40 km from Miercurea Ciuc and represents one of the most important urban centers in eastern Transylvania.

Gheorgheni has a long history and a strong cultural identity, being one of the main towns of the Székely Land region. The city center preserves historic buildings, churches and squares that reflect the architectural traditions of the area. The peaceful atmosphere and the surrounding mountain landscapes make Gheorgheni an attractive place both for locals and visitors.

Due to its geographical position, the town is an excellent starting point for exploring some of the best-known tourist destinations in the region. About 25 km away are Lacu Roșu (Red Lake) and the spectacular Bicaz Gorge, among the most impressive natural attractions in Romania. Visitors can also travel to the Borsec spa resort or enjoy hiking in the Hășmaș and Călimani Mountains.
