Accommodation Harghita Mădăraș

Madarasi Hargita is one of the best-known mountain areas in Harghita County and represents one of the most important winter sports destinations in eastern Transylvania. Located in the Harghita Mountains, about 36 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc, the area lies at over 1,600 meters altitude and is considered the highest inhabited point in the Székely Land region. Thanks to its spectacular landscapes and fresh mountain air, Madarasi Hargita is a popular destination both in winter and during the summer months.

The resort is especially known for the Madarasi Hargita Ski Area, where visitors can find several ski slopes of different difficulty levels, ski lifts and good conditions for winter sports. The area attracts both beginner and experienced skiers, and during winter it becomes one of the most lively mountain destinations in Harghita County.

During the summer season, the region becomes ideal for hiking, mountain biking and exploring the surrounding nature. From the summit of Madarasi Hargita Peak, which reaches about 1,801 meters altitude, visitors can enjoy impressive panoramas over the Harghita Mountains and the surrounding depressions. The area is also known for its mountain trails, dense conifer forests and beautiful natural landscapes.
