Property description
The DAR Tourist Complex is located in the picturesque holiday village of Costești, at the foot of the Dacian fortresses of Blidaru, Costești, and Piatra Roșie, in the immediate vicinity of the magnificent Sarmizegetusa Regia fortress, the capital of Dacia.
Sarmizegetusa Regia was the military, religious, and political center of the Dacian state before the confrontation with the Roman Empire, constituting a key element of the strategic defensive system consisting of six Dacian fortresses in the Orăștiei Mountains, used by Decebal to defend his kingdom against the Romans.
The archaeological site of Sarmizegetusa is located in the village of Grădiștea Muncelului in Hunedoara County.
The DAR Complex is the perfect destination for both nature lovers and those seeking comfort in a relaxing environment. The complex consists of 5 cabins (with a varying number of rooms) and a multifunctional building offering 13 accommodation units (10 double rooms, 2 apartments, and a suite), a restaurant, a terrace, and two conference rooms.
Among the facilities of the complex are a heated pool, a Dacian-style air-massage jacuzzi, a Dacian tub, a children's play area, and private parking.
With its modern equipment and facilities, the DAR Complex is aimed at those who want to relax in the midst of nature and discover the Dacian realms of our ancestors.
Additionally, in the area surrounding the complex, numerous other tourist attractions can be visited, such as: the Sarmizegetusa Regia, Costești, and Blidaru fortresses, Luncanilor Plateau, Prislop Monastery, Cuvioasa Paraschiva Cucuis Monastery, Arsenal Park, Deva Fortress, Corvin Castle, Hunedoara Train Museum, Hațeg Bison Reserve, Alba Iulia Fortress, Clocota Waterfall in Geoagiu Băi, and the Roman Germisara thermal baths complex in Geoagiu Băi.
