Additionally, you can visit glacial lakes such as Bucura Lake (the largest glacial lake in Romania), Zănoaga Lake (the deepest glacial lake in Romania), Lia Lake, Ana Lake, Mt. Retezat, and many more. The distance to Poiana Pelegii, where the road ends and the actual trails begin, is approximately 45 km.
