Property description
If you want to experience how time has stood still for decades or even centuries, then your destination is Breb! We are a Maramures family waiting for you warmly in these traditional wooden houses, with an age of approximately a hundred years, restored and carefully preserved in one of the most authentic villages in Romania. Here, you will not only find accommodation, but a unique experience that you shouldn't miss.
Each house bears the names of the elders who lived in them and gave them life. Casa lui Pistau and Casa lui Stefan will remain reference names forever. We have preserved the authentic and historical elements, while ensuring the comfort and modern amenities that our guests appreciate.
Casa lui Pistau has 3 double bedrooms, while Casa lui Stefan has 2 triple bedrooms. Downstairs you will find the bathroom, kitchen, and a traditional room with restored old wooden beams. One of the bedrooms is also equipped with a baby cradle. For the little ones, we have arranged a play area with plenty of toys to ensure their comfort and entertainment.
I am the father of five boys who returned to the village to relive childhood memories and the charm of rural life. It gives me great pleasure to invite you and your family to discover one of our traditional houses and enjoy the peace and happiness of Breb, our beloved village in Maramures.
We will welcome you with Maramures love and warmth, guide you in discovering village life, and happily answer any questions you may have. We suggest you also try our traditional Romanian restaurant, Casa lui Dochia, located nearby, to complete your experience and enjoy locally prepared dishes with care and attention from farms in the area. We assure you that you will have a true immersion in the authentic gastronomy of Maramures.
Casa lui Dochia is open from Easter Holidays until January 10th of the following year.
We recommend exploring our picturesque village on foot or renting a horse-drawn carriage for an unforgettable ride. You can also visit Lake Taul Morarenilor, Vârful Creasta Cocosului, or explore the green hills and forests in the surroundings, either by walking or cycling on specially designated mountain biking trails.
