Located on the southwestern slope of the Gurghiu Mountains - Sovatei Mountain, in the picturesque natural setting of the Praid Depression, at an altitude of 475-530 m, you will find the beautiful Sovata Balneoclimatic Resort. The Szeifert Hotel is situated in the heart of this resort, near the Black Lake - the oldest saltwater lake in Sovata, formed in 1710 above the stream that used to shelter a gold mine. The water was used for baths before the appearance of Ursu Lake, and later, the extracted mud was used for therapeutic purposes. Although the lake has an area of 8900 m² and a depth of 8 meters, with a salt concentration of up to 193 g/l, it is currently not accessible to the general public.

Ursu Lake opens to the public from the end of June or the beginning of July, and the water temperature, which can reach 50°C at the beginning, decreases during the season. Operating from 10:00 to 18:00, the beach offers a unique experience, but swimming is forbidden between 13:00 and 15:00 to maintain water quality.
To reach the Szeifert Hotel, follow Trandafirilor Street to the roundabout near Ursu Lake and turn back towards the town. Just 200 meters from the roundabout, you will find the hotel.
