Property description
We only provide accommodation! Please check the rates for your desired period, as the price for the entire cabin rental varies on weekends.
Scăricica Cabin is under the administration of the Vaduri Forestry Office, part of the Neamț Forestry Directorate.
Located in the commune of Alexandru cel Bun, Neamț County, the cabin is close to the city of Piatra Neamț, known as the “Pearl of Moldavia” – an ideal tourist destination for a few nights’ stay. At an altitude of 425 m, the cabin offers a panoramic view of the mixed deciduous and coniferous forests in the area, an enchanting landscape in any season, perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The cabin, with one floor and an attic, has 7 rooms: two with double beds, two twin rooms, and three singles, all equipped with televisions and private bathrooms. On the ground floor, there is a small lounge and a large lounge with an enclosed terrace, while the attic has a billiard room.
In addition to the attractions in Piatra Neamț – such as the Royal Court with the church founded by Stephen the Great, the cable car, the equestrian base, the “Peste Vale” swimming complex, the Cozla ski slope, the museums, and the Calistrat Hogaș Memorial House – near the cabin, you’ll find Lake Pângărați, where swans can be admired in winter. You can also find spiritual peace at the Pângărați and Bistrița monasteries, rich in the history of rulers Alexandru cel Bun and Alexandru Lăpușneanu.
Vaduri and Pângărați Lakes form a protected area (SPA site for bird protection) located in northeastern Romania, in Neamț County.
This natural area is in the center of Neamț County, on the territories of the communes of Alexandru cel Bun and Pângărați and the municipality of Piatra Neamț, crossed by the national road DN15, which connects the cities of Turda and Bacău.
Near the site, you can find several places of historical, cultural, and tourist interest, such as:
• The “St. Dumitru” Church of Pângărați Monastery.
• Bistrița Monastery, founded in 1407 by Alexandru cel Bun, ruler of Moldavia from 1400 to 1432. The complex includes the “Assumption of the Virgin Mary” church, the bell tower with the “St. John the New” chapel, the entrance tower with the “St. Nicholas” chapel, Petru Rareș’s House, the abbot’s quarters, the remains of the princely houses, and the surrounding walls.
• The “Annunciation” Church of the former Bisericani Monastery, a historical monument from 1512 (Bisericani village).
• The Pângărați Monastery complex, including the “St. Dumitru” and “Saints Archangels Michael and Gabriel” churches (1552–1560), a building with cells (16th century), enclosure wall (19th century), bell tower (1857), and northeast tower (16th century).
• Wooden churches: “Transfiguration” of the former “Peste Vale” Monastery, “Assumption of the Virgin Mary,” and “Annunciation” from Piatra Neamț.
• The stone church “Nativity of Saint John the Baptist” in Piatra Neamț.
• Museums and memorial houses in Piatra Neamț: Art Museum, Calistrat Hogaș House, Royal Court Museum, Ethnography Museum, History Museum, Natural Sciences Museum.
