Accommodation Păltiniș

Păltiniș is a mountain resort located approximately 32 km south-west of the city of Sibiu, at an altitude of over 1,400 meters, in the Cindrel Mountains. Founded in 1894 by the Transylvanian Carpathian Tourist Society (SKV), Păltiniș is considered the oldest mountain resort in Romania.

The resort is renowned for its clean air, invigorating climate and spectacular alpine landscapes. In winter, Păltiniș becomes an important center for winter sports, with the Arena Platoș Ski Area offering slopes for beginners and advanced skiers, modern cable transport facilities and ski schools for both children and adults.

During the warm season, the area is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and relaxation in nature. Marked trails in the Cindrel Mountains lead to peaks such as Cindrel or Șerbota, while the surroundings offer panoramic views over Transylvania.
